Is Pelosi & Co. showing true leadership by punting Weinergate to the ethics committee?

Wouldn't real leadership entail essentially bunking down in The Weiner's office and pushing him to resign? Or does Mommy P. know that the feckless ethics committee will go Rangel and give The Weiner a slap on the wrist?
