Where should i put my 6 week old kitten when i go to bed.?

im getting a kitten and i dont know where to put her to sleep at. I have one of those bunkbeds where there is a top bunk and a fouton underneeth and i sleep on top so i dont want to put her on my bed and be afraid im gonna smash her or her try to jump off or fall off or something. I also dont know much about having a cat so any info u have wil help, thanks.
