Should I sell my car and buy a motorcycle instead?

I've asked the question a couple of times and still have not concluded to what I want to do. I ask here on YA because most of my friends are immature and would only say get the bike, but I would rather hear opinions from experienced riders with rational thoughts. Okay, I'm leaving for the air force in 2 months(Aug 23) and I have always wanted a bike and since I'm going to be in the military it would be more convenient for traveling state to state. I never rode before so I figure since and summer, the weather is beautiful, and I have nothing to do, now would be a good time to get my feet wet and some experience under my belt. Ive got a good deal on a 07 cbr600rr and I'm supposed to meet the guy today. I'm taking the msf course soon and I'm smart enough to not try to be Valentino Rossi in the beginning stages of riding.
