For parents whose children shared or share a room?

My husband remembers sharing a room with his brothers like it was yesterday. He said, despite the battles, etc, it was the single greatest bonding experience he ever had with them. He said that our boys or girls would share a room, even if we had the space for everyone to have their own room. It was that important to him.
